The Golden State Warriors look to continue their stellar season tonight when they host the Denver Nuggets at 10:30PM ET.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been listed as probable for Saturday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets as he recovers from a bruised left shin.
Curry was injured during Monday’s 122-103 victory against Sacramento. “We don’t want to kill him”, Thompson said.
As for whether interim coach Luke Walton is relieved that an MRI didn’t reveal something more serious, that’s not quite accurate. “When Steph is out there he makes the game so much easier for everybody else that you don’t have to execute all the time and we can just push the ball and go, go, go”. They joined guard Leandro Barbosa (left shoulder sprain) and forward Harrison Barnes (left ankle sprain) on the sideline.
Golden State is 15-0 at home this season, averaging 112.8 points on 47.8 percent shooting, including 40.7 percent from 3-point range. The Nuggets ended the year by dropping four straight and seven of their last eight while dealing with their own injury issues.
Blogger Tim Cato snapped a Twitter photo of Curry with a Chewbacca backpack, while Curry was on the grub line following the game.
“We told the guys we need everyone else to step up, but not in an individual attitude, as ‘I’m going to go get these points for us, ‘” Walton said.
