With the possibility of adding promo codes to get free apps, developers could promote their apps in the community of critics and experts in order to get important reviews and make new updates based on the comments, to obtain more sales and more engaged users.

An Android forums user noticed a page on Google’s developer console explaining how devs can create the promo codes and how they can get their apps ready to use them. If some codes go unused, they don’t carry over, so each quarter you’ll start with a 500 code maximum.

Promo codes with be quite flexible, with expiration time lasting up to a year.

As for you and I, nothing changes on our end except for the fact that we can now redeem promo codes for apps or in-app purchases within Google Play. In-app subscriptions, however, are exempted from this.

We strongly believe, like IOS App creators, Android developers will use a chunk of their codes to give out the reviewers. This would boost event attendance as well as help gamers get exclusive items from the makers.

Promo codes are probably the most nifty invention ever. This could be particularly useful for productivity apps for smartphones. Any developer can only generate 500 free promo codes per app. These free promotional codes are not up for grabs all throughout the year either. For instructions on implementing promo codes, head to this page. According to a message that was sent to the developer of the app by Google, Podcast Addict was found to be in violation of the store’s “sexually explicit material provision of the Content Policy”.

Good news for budget-conscious Android users: New app deals are on the way. For app developers who wish to create promo codes for their apps can head to the Developer Console. At the same time, the developer can pass around promo codes at their local venue or business center.
