Grammys to feature Adele, Gaga, Rihanna, Swift and more

Taylor Swift and boyfriend Calvin Harris have been rumored to be collaborating on a song for a while now, which of course had people wondering if they would use the Grammys to debut a joint song.

He won his second Grammy a couple of moments later for best Americana Album for “Something More Than Free“.

Beck, the last Album of the Year victor, led the song with touches of both versions as Nirvana’s Dave Grohl, now singer and guitarist of Foo Fighters, returned to drums.

The award for Best Music Film went to the Oscar frontrunner for Best Documentary, “Amy”, which chronicles the rise and tragic fall of singer Amy Winehouse, who herself was a multiple Grammy-winner. “Nah nah nah nah”.

Taylor Swift won the very first Grammy of Monday night’s awards, and the real show hadn’t even started.

Joni Mitchell won a Grammy for best album notes. And married couple Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn won best folk album for their self-titled effort.

The trio’s group, Hollywood Vampires, is performing for the first time on television at Monday night’s ceremony.

Receiving the award from gangsta rap legend Ice Cube, the 28-year-old Lamar hailed the growing recognition for the genre.

Before the Grammy network TV telecast, The Recording Academy handed out the bulk of its 83 awards, including four to Lamar (including Best Rap performance for “Alright.”). “Put your hands up”.

Swift kicked off the main show proper with an energetic opening performance of Out Of The Woods decked in a black sequin jumpsuit.

Adele is coming off a three year break, ending 2015 by releasing her third album, again to high critical acclaim, titled “25”. The Grammys announced that Earth, Wind & Fire will receive one of its Lifetime Achievement Awards at a separate ceremony in the spring. “Beauty” is also up for album of the year.

Little Big Town received Best Country Duo/Group for “Girl Crush”.

Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd also had two wins including Best Urban Contemporary Album.
