According to The New York Times, a secret source has confirmed that LCD are getting the band back together five years since their last album and full tour.
This would be Axl and Slash’s first show together since 1993.
The venture is sure to prove lucrative for the group.
The rock band has been booked as one of the 1st acts to play the new Las Vegas Arena, which is set to open on 6 April with The Killers and Wayne Newton. The reformed band hopes to command as much as $3 million (£2 million) per show from promoters and fans, who could pay up to $275 (£185) per ticket.
Guns N’ Roses’ most recent tour, which included only Axl Rose from the original lineup, was mainly in South America and The Joint in Las Vegas.
The confirmation comes after months of speculation that Rose and Slash would rekindle their legendary partnership for a Guns N’ Roses reunion performance (or two).
Guns N’ Roses fans have just been granted a late Christmas present.
However – and of course there’s a “however” involved – the Pulse of Radio recently reported that the reunion may not feature all members of the band’s “classic lineup”.
Now, more than 20 years later, the band’s website and Facebook page may contain clues hinting at a potential reunion.
As well as performing for Coachella, the reunited band is rumored to have line up a North American tour across 25 stadiums.
The rumor mill went into overdrive when, during screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, footage of a concert crowd was shown with Guns N’ Roses music overdubbed. Slash left the band in 1996 after he and Rose failed to reconcile a publicized falling out.
“But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point”.
