The Wanted star and his Strictly dance partner Aliona Vilani seriously underwhelmed the judges when they took to the floor and performed their show dance – a routine which consisted of some Rumba, Foxtrot and Tango.

The Wanted singer and dance partner Aliona Vilani brought home the coveted glitter ball trophy after a sensational dance-off with fellow celebrities Kellie Bright and Georgia May Foote on Saturday night’s final.

Admitting he felt “spaced out” to presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Jay went on to say: “It’s been one of the most special things that I’ve ever done and with the most special person”.

Kellie Bright looked a little exhausted on her feet as she hit the Strictly Come Dancing wrap party last night but, she still didn’t ditch the heels.

The professional dancer, who is the first pro to win Strictly twice, announced her decision to leave on Twitter.

Jay McGuiness has been crowned this year’s Strictly Come Dancing champion. The couple with the lowest vote gets eliminated immediately (bye Anton), leaving the three remaining couples to dance their favourite dance of the series.

Viewers were delighted to see Ola Jordan back on the show for her final ever performance, as she danced alongside her co-stars in the opening performance of the show.

“From week one, for me, you’ve been the most consistent”, head judge Goodman told him. “I’m glad I got to see it through to the end”.

Pop Star McGuiness had been the bookies’ favourite to win for several weeks.

They called the show a “farce” for crowing Jay the victor after soapstar Kellie Bright continued to top the scoreboard.

“No matter what happens, you walk away from Strictly with a friend for life”.

The four finalists will be dancing in the following pairs.
