He’s back! Tiger issues Masters warning shot to rivals

Tiger Woods is returning to the Masters for just the second time since 2013.

Twelve months ago, Garcia’s then fiancée Angela Adkins inspired the Spaniard to finally become a major victor by leaving messages for him around their rented house in Augusta.

Woods’ play leading up to the Masters has many thinking the 42-year-old could be in contention in the 82nd edition of the Masters.

“This is a tournament I think where experience does help a lot”, Woods, who last won at Augusta in 2005, said. The pain of just sitting there, the amount of times I’ve fallen because my leg didn’t work or had to lay on the ground.

Tiger Wood calls his comeback “a miracle”. “This year is going to be different”, Woods said. I have got to go and play and then let the chips fall where they may, and hopefully I end up on top.

“I’m always excited to come back here and play”. Woods has been very clear that he is coming to Augusta this week to win.

The closest he came to winning was back in 2011 when he held a four shot lead heading into the final nine holes, but collapsed to leave his Masters dream in tatters.

“This is the probably the most anticipated Masters any of us has seen in our lifetime”.

The No. 1 player in the world should be able to contend at Augusta purely on his length, and he tied for sixth and fourth his last two Masters starts.

At 47, that would see him become the event’s oldest victor, eclipsing Jack Nicklaus, who was 46 when he recorded the last of his six successes in 1986. He knew his skills weren’t ready to win PGA tournaments. “If you know how to get around here, you don’t need your A-game to contend. you need to see where your game is at and adjust accordingly”. “You have to win the Masters and earn it”. That’s why he’s won so many tournaments, that’s why he’s won so many major championships, is that he truly believes he can pull it off.

Rose says that while he has nothing he feels he needs to prove, he senses his legacy depends on his results in major events over the next few years.

Henley returns to The Masters for the fifth time in his pro career this week looking to improve on what was the best-ever finish of his career previous year.

Fowler finished in the top five in all four majors in 2014 and was fifth in both the US Open and US PGA previous year, but could only finish 11th in the Masters after going into the final round just a shot off the lead.

Bjorn insisted that he wouldn’t be disappointed if his players have to face up against the former world number one, saying a fit and firing Tiger at the Ryder Cup would be “unbelievable for the game”.

“I texted him a while ago when he was playing at Valspar that it felt like it was a different time continuum because I found myself pulling so hard for him”, Mickelson said.
