Buckhead’s Lenox Square announced in May it will not host its annual fireworks show, which it has held for more than 50 years. Festival Foods Fireworks show will close out the celebration from Monkey Island in Millers Bay, beginning at 9:45 PM. Events will be staggered throughout the night from 5-10:30 p.m.
Falls Church: Festivities will be held at George Mason High School (7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church) starting at 7 p.m. Off-site parking and shuttles available. Crossroads West Side Fireworks Extravaganza – You don’t have to worship to be a part of this West Side celebration (if you do, there’s a service at 5:30 p.m.). There also will be vendors selling refreshments. It’s rain or shine for the family-friendly event at Symmes Township Park.
The tradition of Independence Day celebrations dates back to the 18th century and the American Revolution.

This year the annual morning parade featuring floats and performances begins assembling at 9 a.m. July 4 and takes off at 10 a.m.at the intersection of Carroll and Ethan Allen avenues before traveling south on Carroll Avenue, turning right on Maple Avenue and continuing onto Ritchie Avenue, where it disbands.
Stacy Flora Roth will perform “Over Here, Molly Pitcher!” a dramatic presentation highlighting the lives of women who “belonged to the army” during the American Revolution.
Visitors’ bonus tip: If you’re into music, you’re not going to want to miss a trip to the Grand Ole Opry or the Country Music Hall of Fame while you’re in Nashville. Kids bike parade at 9:00 a.m., followed by the reading of the Declaration of Independence and other events. Live music guests include Christian Serpas, Ray Boudreaux from The Voice, Marc Broussard and more. Admission costs $10, $8 seniors/students.
Morven Museum & Garden is located at 55 Stockton St., Princeton. No tents, pets, grills, glass bottles or personal fireworks. Leopold’s Ice Cream, 212 E. Broughton St. Small samples will be available. There is a parking fee of $5 for state residents to get into the park.
