Hillary Regrets ‘Superpredator’ Remark Made in 1996

The speakers who were there talked about the officer-involved shooting of Walter Scott, a black man, and said Clinton had a strong record on racial justice, reported The Huffington Post.

“Can I talk?” Clinton snapped at Williams in response.

On Thursday, Hillary Clinton told the Washington Post, “Looking back, I shouldn’t have used those words, and I wouldn’t use them today”. “You know what, nobody’s ever asked me before, you’re the first person that’s ever asked me and I’m happy to address it”, she said. While Secretary Clinton was speaking about Walter Scott, the A.M.E Church shooting and her stellar record of racial justice, Williams stood facing the crowd unbeknownst to Clinton holding a sign reading “We Have to Bring Them To Heel“.

Activists claim that the legislation resulted in mass incarcerations of African-Americans.

Also in attendance were Black Lives Matters activists, Ashley Williams and an associate.

If Hillary Clinton wants to stop “Which Hillary” from damaging her campaign and her chances of beating Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination, it is time for her to be completely honest with the American public. But Williams said she expected more.

Clinton has distanced herself from her husband’s more controversial initiatives on crime, and has called for an end to mass incarceration.

The all-important South Carolina Primary is Saturday, in which blacks make up a significant part of the electorate that will choose between Clinton and challenger Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist running as a Democrat. And at this point, like I said, we don’t have any answers, and we don’t have an apology, which is what we really deserve.

She went on to say that it’s time for young people to elbow their way to the front of social discourse. He continues to tout his early involvement with civil rights, however, and told BET host and CNN contributor Marc Lamont Hill that the 1996 welfare reform bill signed by former President Bill Clinton, was “an attack, by and large, on low income African-Americans”, which he voted against. While people biased for one campaign or another have no problem finding fault in how so-and-so’s supporters handled a Black Lives Matter protester, an objective eye that’s watched the footage from these rallies will notice the trend is primarily the same between the various Democratic candidates’ voter bases.

WILLIAMS: She called black people “super predators“, that is rude.

Activists have protested Clinton events on multiple occasions over the past year, as they have with other presidential candidates, arguing that policies she supported have harmed African-Americans. The bill imposed harsher sentences, made military equipment more readily accessible to police, and created the three-strikes law which implemented tougher sentences for those previously convicted. “[Clinton] chaired the Childrens’ Defense Fund, but then in the 90s, the CDF came out with the “Super Predator” theory which said there were some kids who were so sociopathic by age six months that they were beyond redemption”.
