Hope you are proud of me with ‘Kaabil’: Hrithik to Shah Rukh

Mumbai: Actress Yami Gautam has penned down a note, thanking the entire cast and crew of her film “Kaabil” for giving her the opportunity.

While the makers of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer claimed to have got a thunderous opening as compared to Kaabil, here are the numbers which will tell you who emerged victorious on Day 1.

Yet the fact is that neither figures are the best ones for both actors. Also, while trade pundits might say there is enough room for two big stars releasing their labours of love on the same day, the number game speaks for itself, out loud. The movie had generated a good pre-release buzz with songs and trailer which resulting in a fantastic advance booking.

Kaabil movie is competing with Shah Rukh Khan movie Raees. Also, under debt of praise from the entire world, the box office collection is the only way to change views. However, considering the holiday, the collection seemed to be little disappointing. While “Raees” collected approximately 21 crores, “Kaabil” earned approximately 8 crores on Day one.

Kaabil is among Hrithik’s top five openers. But the interesting thing to note down will be the gap between the collections of both the movie at the end of the second day. In an overall review of the cinemas in which Mr Khan has been seen in vital characters, Raees succeeded in garnering a huge first day collection than the opening day earnings of most of his films.
