HTC One X9 goes official

The Android 6.0.1 update for the HTC One A9 is only available for the unlocked version of the smartphone.

The new phone packs a unibody metal design, which HTC says takes 300 hours (12.5 days) and 50 steps to complete. It is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and boots on Android-unspecified, but is expected to be the new Marshmallow-with HTC Sense UI on top of it. Having found the promising success formula, HTC is apparently gearing up to introduce the One X9.

The front facing 5-megapixel fixed-focus camera comes with associate f/2.0 aperture, a 24.7mm lens, and may record videos in full-HD resolution. Instead of on-screen back, home and multitasking buttons, the One X9 features those same commands as capacitive, physical buttons, a popular smartphone trend in China. It is fetched at a price of around $370, and will be out in the market with 32GB of storage (expandable to up to 2TB with a MicroSD card).

On the camera front, it sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with OIS (optical image stabilization), support for 4K video recording and dual-tone LED flash.

Now HTC is apparently preparing to release a new mid-range smartphone equipped with high-end features, and assuming that the latest reports from ePrice are accurate, then the company’s next smartphone to hit the shelves will be launched shortly after Lunar New Year (February 6-14).

Like other One series smartphones from HTC, the One X9 also features BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers on the front with Dolby Audio technology. Well, the rumor mill has to stop now, as the One X9 has finally been launched officially in China. The device measures 153.9 mm tall, 75.9 wide, and 7.99 mm thick.

The 4G LTE supporting HTC One X9 additionally offers Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11, Micro-USB a pair of.0, and GPS/ A-GPS property choices.

It’s still unclear what version of Android the HTC One X9 will run, but we hope it will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.
