Insomniac Games’ Next Could be an Underwater Side-Scroller

A new teaser that they posted teasing their new game and its announcement seems to show an underwater, submerged civilization, asking players to ‘dive deeper;’ all of this, of course, has been rendered in the trademark gorgeous stylized and cartoony Insomniac style.

The teaser asks “what’s next?” and that is about all we get out of it, besides the under water theme. The underwater theme doesn’t really mesh well with any of the company’s previous projects, so unless there’s a new underwater-focused Ratchet & Clank game in the works, it’s safe to say that the title will follow brand new characters.

What’s much harder to guess is this game’s target platform or platforms. Polygon reports that Insomniac Games is working on a virtual reality action-adventure game Edge of Nowhere for the Oculus Rift. We’ll have more info on the game as soon as it’s announced.
