The long-awaited change finally solves the problem of old and random posts showing up on feeds and will ensure that you see fresh new posts with a single tap.
Instagram wrote on its blog about the changes the new algorithm will bring to the people.
Once upon a time the chronology of your Instagram feed was linear; the newest posts sat at the top and they got older as you scrolled.
Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more about improvements we’re making to feed.
Photos used to show up in the order they were posted, but this was stopped around two years ago.
Facebook’s sister social network Instagram announced Thursday that it’s testing a “New Posts” button in users’ feeds.
Now Instagram is adding the ability to include hashtags right inside your bio, giving users the ability to showcase the things they like right in their profile. “Whether you’re a #guitarlover, into #pencilsketching or have a #makeuptutorial account, now you can link to any hashtag or profile you want”. The application has introduced several new features over the months and is now also testing the “quote-storied” feature.
With easy access to pricing and product details, shoppers can tap on a tagged post within their feed to buy a specific product directly from the brand’s website, without having to search for it.
As Instagram said today, hopefully the new changes “makes browsing Instagram much more enjoyable”.
Prepare yourself, Instagram fans, these changes are rolling out now.
“Shoppable posts take this to a whole new level”.
Instagram, sadly, is most likely never going to go back to the good ole days of a chronological feed.
How do you feel about this new change to Instagram?
This isn’t the only change created to give users more control over what they see.
