If you’ve had the same iPhone for a couple of years or more, you’ve probably started to notice its performance slowing down a little, especially on newer versions of the software.
But for anyone not up to taking such drastic measures, a solution has emerged that can provide an immediate speed boost by clearing up memory in the phone’s App Store.
Apple has adopted a fast beta/release cycle with iOS 9, with two major updates since the operating system’s initial release in September 2015. iOS 9.2 was released in December 2015.
Developer Zachary Drayer recently explained the trick on Twitter, and it’s therefore weird that it’s unlikely the majority realize it. Fret not! Here is a very simple and quick trick to fix it!
Tapping any of the icons on the bottom row 10 times will clear the cash and this is indicated when the top bit of the Store goes blank as you can see from the screenshot below.
You have probably begun to find its operation slowing down a little, particularly on newer versions of the applications in the event you have had the exact same iPhone to get several years or even more.
Clearing temporary memory continues to be a favorite trick in the iPhone’s web browser, Safari, and could give a speed increase. However, doing the same with apps has not always been so easy.
In an update, the author also pointed out that the quick-fix works with the iTunes Store and the Watch App Store as well.
