A eulogy for the member of the militant group – who was identified as Mohammed Emwazi – has been released.

Emwazi, dressed in black with a balaclava covering all but his eyes, came to the world’s attention when he appeared in an Isil video brutally murdering the American journalist James Foley.

Emwazi also is believed to have played a role in the beheadings of American journalist Steven Sotloff, British aid worker David Haines, British volunteer Alan Henning, U.S. aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, and Japanese journalist Kenji Goto.

The online magazine Dabiq, produced by ISIS, confirmed that Mohammed Emwazi was killed in November by a U.S. military drone strike.

The US military in November said it was “reasonably certain” the British jihadist had been killed in an airstrike.

SITE, which monitors terrorist activity, reported that IS published a “eulogizing profile” of Jihadi John in its English-language magazine Dabiq on Tuesday. “Jihadi John” was a reference to John Lennon, Espinosa said.

In a briefing webcast from Baghdad to Pentagon reporters, Colonel Steve Warren said it would take time for formal confirmation that the Hellfire missile drone strike killed the notorious 27-year-old militant.

“One particular agent said to him, ‘You’re not going anywhere”.

Emwazi was born in Kuwait and became a naturalized citizen of the United Kingdom.

He and three other IS militants with British accents were nicknamed “the Beatles” by some of their captives. Prior to the trip, he had been linked to a number of alleged jihadists in London who purportedly supported a terror group in Somalia, according to court documents.

It writes: “Yes, the crusader strategy is not working because the Islamic State is here to stay”.
