Arsenal are planning a shock move for Javier Hernandez who has been in prolific form this season since leaving Manchester United for Bayer Leverkusen, according to the Daily Star.
Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez ended 2015 on a high after being voted Bundesliga Player of the Month for December with his haul of five league goals.
The paper says he fancies another crack at life in the Premier League and this has alerted Gunners boss Arsene Wenger. “Hernandez cut a popular figure at United, and Louis van Gaal’s decision to move him on over the summer proved to be a poor decision, and any potential move to Arsenal would almost certainly upset their fan base”, said Caughtoffside.
Sanchez is reportedly convinced that Hernandez will be a huge boost to the team and he is confident that they can link up together effectively, which is the reason why the Chile global is asking Wenger to complete a deal soon.
Hernandez has already admitted that he had no choice other than to leave United after Van Gaal told him his chances of playing as the lead striker were “one per cent”. In turn, the decision worked well for the Mexico worldwide.
Look away now, Louis van Gaal… “I felt confident from the very first day. He guaranteed you goals, even when he was rotated between being a starter and a substitute”.
Bayer Leverkusen will resume league play against Hoffenheim on January 23.
