Joely Fisher Breaks Her Silence On Sister Carrie Fisher’s Death

Her last words were “I want to be with Carrie”, her producer son, Todd Fisher told the Associated Press.

A group of dedicated fans chose to pay tribute to the late Star Wars actress by turning a blank star into a makeshift Carrie Fisher memorial.

Fisher was an important character and woman who many girls will forever look up to. “There aren’t a lot of strong females in films right now”.

Carrie Fisher’s daughter, actress Billie Lourd, is mourning her mom and grandmother, T.I. both of whom she lost this week.

This won’t be Fisher’s first time on the animated comedy series (which has done numerous Star Wars parodies). She saved them. She was smart, quick, drôle, and didn’t suffer fools.

Star Wars: Episode IX is set to be directed by Jurassic World filmmaker Colin Trevorrow, who is co-writing the script with frequent collaborator Derek Connolly.

According to Variety, the Star Wars actor had wrapped up shooting for Star Wars: Episode VIII, (sequel to 2015’s The Force Awakens) in July, reprising her role of Leia Organa.

As memorable as that character is, Fisher can’t be reduced to Princess Leia. She pulled no punches during our 10-15 minute interview-though she did playfully slap me.

In her autobiographies, including 1987’s best-selling novels Postcards from the Edge and 2016’s The Princess Diarist, Fisher has been candid about her troubled past with mental health problems and substance abuse.
