Jose Mourinho: Clubs are looking for me

Ryan Giggs is not keen to embark on a second spell as Manchester United caretaker manager if the club decide to sack the beleaguered Louis van Gaal before the end of this season, according to the latest reports.

Mourinho clarified that he had returned to Italy – where he won the treble with Inter in 2010 – only to visit former President Massimo Moratti.

Mourinho was vague about his future when questioned by the Italian media on Friday as he prepared to travel to the San Siro on Saturday evening to watch ex-club Inter Milan host Sampdoria.

“I just know that I love football and I will be back with the same passion and ambition as ever, having during this period a respectful behaviour to every manager and every club”, he went on to say.

‘It will be a great emotion for me – San Siro and the Interisti – but let me make it clear…

United will hand Mourinho £16 million-a-year, equivalent to £308 000-a-week, in a bid to revitalise the club’s flagging fortunes.

“I don’t search for clubs, clubs search for me”.

Speaking to Sky Italia on Friday, current Inter president Erick Thohir corroborated Mourinho’s story, telling the outlet he’s committed to Mancini for the time being.

“Their ideas have my full support and I hope their plans are successful”.

“At this moment I firmly believe he can revive the team”.

The 23-year-old, who has been a pivotal part of Inter’s goal-scoring department for some time now, has scored 10 times in as many 21 appearances this season.

Meanwhile, PSG face Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League knockout fixture at Parc des Princes.
