Believe it or not, for the first time ever, the airlines are promoting a film and of course, why not when it’s a Rajinikanth film.
Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Kabali” is getting ready to hit the screens in July and the songs have already become chart-busters. Malaysian carrier Air Asia’s that is predominantly operational in South India, has partnered with the film and a special Kabali plane has been painted and stickered to match the theme. The company official said, “this special aircraft is a mark of respect to the Thalaiva for his contribution to Indian cinema”. To catch the first-day show of the film on July 15, fans will have to fly to Bengaluru to catch a connecting flight to Chennai.
Rajinikanth’s Kabali is one of the most-anticipated movies of this year which has been making headlines ever since the teaser was out. It will be flying across the Air Asia India network covering destinations including Bengaluru, New Delhi, Goa, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag and Kochi.
Air Asia is the official airline partner of Kabali, and several of its planes will also feature in the film. The film is slated for a release on 22nd July.
After his blockbuster Endhiran, Rajinikanth’s latest movies such as Lingaa and animated film Kochadaiiyaan flopped at box offices. “Kabali“, is written and directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
