Kanye West struggled with technical issues on Friday (08Jan16) as he debuted a new song online, only to delete the link moments later due to bad sound quality.
When Kanye West released a new track seven days ago, it wasn’t clear if it was just a New Year’s Day celebration from Yeezy, or if there were something bigger in the works. In the documentary, Kanye added, “We have to get some more Madlib beats for the next projects”.
And not much later, the rapper dropped his latest track Real Friends – PLUS a snippet of the song No More Parties in LA, which features Kendrick Lamar!
He also references what appears to be the same cousin earlier in the song, rapping, “I have a cousin who’s a deadbeat/I hate family reunions”.
As Kim Kardashian promised, Kanye West’s “G.O.O.D”.
Still, he thinks of pictures with a person’s sister, and says Merry Christmas.
“How many are real friends to the end, till the wheels don’t spin?”
“Maybe 15 minutes took some pictures with your sister / Merry Christmas, then I’m finished, it’s back to business”, he spits over light, melodic piano keys. Based on a telling tweet from his wife, Kim Kardashian, it looks like this is going to become a weekly occurrence on Fridays. YAY! In the clip, which begins at approximately 21:45, Kanye recalls a recording session with Madlib, and rapped lyrics from “No More Parties in LA“.
