Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry lead Warriors to National Basketball Association title

June 13 05:13 2017

Durant was lights out from three-point range in Game 5, making 5-of-8 attempts from long range on his way to 39 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in the Warriors’ series clinching game. His mother, Wanda Durant, saw that breakthrough about a month after his July 4 announcement.

“Pretty much all of their big-name guys are in their 20s”, the Cavs’ James said, “and they don’t show any signs of slowing down”.

LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 41 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists but it proved in vain as the home team came out on top.

LeBron James has 12 points and so does Kyrie Irving for the Cavs.

Much like a year ago, the Warriors are having a serious issue with Lebron James and Kyrie Irving defensively. But Durant is reportedly willing to take less than the max to re-sign with the Warriors.

For one person, a person spent $133,000 after fees for two tickets for Monday’s NBA Finals game between Golden State and Cleveland, ESPN reports.

With their backs against the proverbial wall, facing the prospect of being swept out of the 2017 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers played the best game of the season and handed the Warriors a decisive 137-116 beating in Game 4 at the Q on Friday night. The Cavaliers won that game to start what became the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. The Cavs led 115-96. He didn’t do anything in Game 4 to warrant a suspension like past year when he hit James in the groin area when he stepped over the Warriors forward.

Midway through the second quarter, the Warriors made their move, staging a 21-2 run. “But for them, this particularly is from the standpoint of they don’t want to go back to Cleveland and they understand that anything can happen in game seven”.

James led the way, connecting on five of his first six shots.

Cleveland’s hot shooting countered a Warriors surge, and the Cavs ended the first period with consecutive baskets on their last two offensive trips.

Cavs-Warriors III had even more star power than 2016.

Golden State shot 34 percent in the first 17 minutes, but Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala ignited a surge to push the Warriors in front, 54-43, with four minutes to play in the first half.

Both were joined by Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith in getting technical fouls with 3:08 remaining in the second quarter before cooler heads prevailed, although James yelled at Durant for an extended span over the incident.

Kevin Durant led the Warriors with 35 points.

“They boo me and they thought I had a tech that I didn’t have (which would have meant an ejection), so that wasn’t sharp”, he said.

Durant put on a scoring clinic in the fourth quarter, hitting tough shot after tough shot. 2-9 from deep, 4-13 overall for 14 points just isn’t going to cut it – especially if Klay Thompson’s shot isn’t falling either (4-11 for 13 points in game 4). But they have to do it four straight times to keep the crown that they brought home from California last June.

As the NBA Finals continues, Draymond Green may have some explaining to do.

It was the second time he and Durant had met in a finals series, following 2012 when James and the Miami Heat beat Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder 4-1.
