The new makeup campaign called Collection Eyes 2016 is shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, according to Chanel.
She has starred in numerous fashion campaigns for Chanel before, but this will be her first foray into the French fashion house’s beauty department. She’s been the face of a Balenciaga fragrance, Chanel’s eyewear and two of Chanel’s Métiers d’art collections, one of which is to be released in March. Today it was announced the the actress will be the face (or eyes) of the brand’s upcoming campaign, focused on their stunning and super-wearable shadows. With her modern, charismatic beauty, and free spirit, Stewart appears in a string of portraits embodying various facets of the contemporary CHANEL woman. She also took the lead in the short film “Once and Forever,” shot by Karl Lagerfeld, screened at the Métiers d’Art fashion show in Rome last December.

For the catwalk presentation, Chanel had recreated an entire Parisian street, complete with Metro station, providing the usual amount of spectacle we’ve come to expect from Karl Lagerfeld and his team.
