When people first learned that Lady Gaga would be performing at the Super Bowl, it was assumed by many that the singer would not just sing her famous songs, but perform some kind of political stunt during the halftime show.
Lady Gaga is amazingly cool and confident just days before one of the biggest performances of her life.
She then sat down at a piano while the crowd held up electronic flames.
“I’m not gonna tell you what I’m gonna do”, she told the press. Gaga said she considers being asked to be the halftime headliner is due to her fans, affectionately known as “little monsters”.
From that point, it was all energy, fun and a highly-produced show as Gaga leapt onto the stage with guide wires and sang a medley of some of her most popular tunes. Flanked by dozens of dancers and massive stage explosives, Gaga brought the show to a frenzied peak before its end.
She wouldn’t give away what songs she’d be singing or anything about her costumes for the 13-minute show, but promised a “tremendously athletic” performance. She started the concert by performing America the attractive but did not have a political message.
Before the performance, Gaga said on Instagram: “I dedicate every second to the love, diversity, compassion, and wild spirit of our fan base”.
“My performance will uphold those philosophies”, she added.
Lady Gaga thought she’d drop in on Super Bowl LI Sunday night. “I’m going to keep that one to myself”, she said.
It is also one of the most significant portals for promoting pop culture. From there, she flew again onto the main stage and went into a dance-tastic rendition of her freedom anthem “Born This Way“.
Politics has been a dominant theme during the lead-up to the Super Bowl because of the president’s action on immigration and the friendship between President Trump and Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady of the New England Patriots.
