Lady Layton Coming To The West In 2017

The developers at Level 5 have recently announced the latest addition to the Professor Layton franchise called “Lady Layton“. As you can see in the reveal trailer, it will be loaded with the same brain teasers that made her father’s games so much fun.

The full title is Lady Layton: The Conspiracy of King Millionaire Ariadne, and it stars none other than Professor Layton’s daughter, Catriel Layton.

In case you hadn’t heard, the next Professor Layton game won’t be starring the titular professor. An absence which the game’s premise points out when providing some of Catriel’s back-story; uncovering the truth to her father’s mysterious disappearance the backdrop to her early days as a London-based detective. 2012’s spinoff Layton Brothers is an iOS and Android exclusive, featuring Layton’s son Alfendi Layton. Lady Layton’s assistant will be the talking dog, Sharo. And he did just that in 2014 with the release of Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. A Western release has not been confirmed.
