LeBron James breaks Michael Jordan’s playoff scoring record

May 29 02:09 2017

They’re coming out and they’re hitting us, they don’t care who you are.

“I feel good about our chances”, he said.

Jordan’s six National Basketball Association titles are twice as many as James’s three – two of them won with the Miami Heat before he returned to Cleveland with the avowed aim of bringing a championship to his home state of Ohio. Oh, and it’s LeBron James’ seventh-straight Finals appearance.

An impressive season for the Boston Celtics came to a predictable end at the hands of the dominant Cleveland Cavaliers at TD Garden on Thursday night.

We meet again, @Cavs. Here are three things we learned from Cleveland’s most recent series win. The 2015 NBA champions won a record 73 regular-season games, and Stephen Curry was the first player to unanimously win the NBA MVP Award. He has never been a great fit in this particular matchup, his fantastic Game 7 stop against Curry notwithstanding.

“This is great learning for how far we have to go”, Stevens said. They have to do much better and to improve their roster in order to challenge Cleveland nex year.

And then, nearly as if he was trying to remind himself that he’s got three championship rings and is frightful in his own right, James recalled other fearsome postseason opponents – San Antonio and Boston.

As the NBA’s great G.O.A.T. debate rages on, LeBron James has passed Michael Jordan in one regard.

Can Cleveland stop the Warriors? “I don’t think its sunk in all the way yet, but it’s really special”.

Now, onto the meat and potatoes.

There’s a four-headed, shot-making, scoreboard-breaking monster out West awaiting LeBron James and the Cavaliers. He is averaging 32.5 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists per game. He’ll soon be the first player ever to score 6,000 career playoff points. This man wants to win, and that must be commended. When you’re watching Michael Jordan it’s nearly like a god. To see him perform the way he was performing in the playoffs under the circumstances, it was a treat to watch.

James, with three titles, is still chasing Jordan’s six.

But they also showed how badly they need him.

I’ve got a buddy who lives in California where he has to deal with thousands of Golden State fans – i.e., true fans of the team and bandwagoners alike.

Up Next – After posting the “gentleman’s sweep” of the Celtics, the Wine and Gold will prepare for the awaiting Warriors, who wrapped up the Western Conference Finals on Monday night.

I stated before the playoffs that Super Teams offer more enjoyment than your typical National Basketball Association squad.

Golden State has two MVPs, so this is a tall order.

Boston Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas wanted to keep playing in the Eastern Conference finals, but team doctors and officials convinced him he needed to shut down his season for his long-term health. It has nothing to do with passing the rings, passing the points, passing MVPs.

Golden State deserves vengeance.

The Warriors were back in the NBA Finals, and they had a 3-1 lead against the Cavaliers, the same team they defeated for the championship the previous year. The Warriors must engulf themselves in homework on how to stop the King.

Reasons to Cheer for Cleveland or Golden State in the NBA Finals
