Other features we can expect from LG’s Super UHD TVs include Harman/Kardon-designed speakers, which ensure viewers still get high-quality sound despite the paper-thin design, a new Magic Motion remote control, as well as a new user experience facilitated by LG’s all-new WebOS 3.0 platform.

“We’re confident our 2016 HDR-enabled SUPER UHD TV will generate much excitement not only in the industry, but also with consumers in general”, said Brian Kwon, President and CEO at LG’s Home Entertainment Company in a press statement.

A report talking about LG’s latest technology in Digital Trends said, “The UH9500 (screen sizes 55-86 inches) UH8500 (screen sizes 55-75 inches) and UH7700 (screen sizes 49-65 inches) share several traits in common”.

Though, the exact prices for the new models of LG TV series is unknown and the company remains mum on the state of its OLED lineup, it won’t be surprising if there is at least one within your budget given rapidly falling prices.

LG’s new SUPER UHD TV lineup will be on display at the company’s booth during CES in Las Vegas from January 6-9. Leading the company’s 2016 4K Ultra HD LCD/LED TV lineup, LG SUPER UHD TV will feature LG’s most advanced LCD/LED picture quality ever, with expanded color capabilities, advanced picture and sound-enhancing features including high dynamic range (HDR) and LG’s alluring Flat ULTRA Slim design. These models also feature a “True Black” panel and Contrast Maximizer, which will create a better contrast for your TV and will cut glare.

LG will unveil four series of the Super HD line. What’s more, LG’s ULTRA Luminance technology greatly enhances contrast between dark and bright areas, greatly enhancing the HDR effect. If you do not have 4K content, you can take help of LG’s ULTRA Luminance technology, a SDR-to-HDR conversation engine and a HDR-compatible HDMI port to enjoy standard definition content in 4K HDR-like quality. The UH9500 and UH8500 series also add Color Prime Plus tech, offering support for about 90 percent of the Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) color space. Another innovation, Billion Rich Colors, gives the LG SUPER UHD models the ability to render over one billion possible color variations for an even greater sense of realism.

The UH9500 and UH8500 series also feature 10-bit panels with 10-bit processing power. And the UH9500 is second to none when it comes to sound.

Ahead of CES 2016, LG did as it often does and tipped its hand right before the expo’s kickoff.

The fourth in the Super UHD series will be the 98-inch 8K SUPER UHD TV (model UH9800).
