Reddit user locke-in-a-box recently shared a handwritten letter from their daughter, who tried to convince her parents that she had another week off from school.
In accordance to a viral Reddit post, Cara returned from her family’s mailbox on Sun. – a day in that infamously means no postal service – with a highly believable letter from her elementary school.
Already viewed online more than two million times, many commenters are praising Cara’s simple genius.
Their daughter, Cara G, had signed underneath the statement which had been officially sealed with a Rapunzel stamp.
Her letter reads: “The school company is taking a [break] so the kids will get one more week of school off and we will need your child to sign their name here”.
1st_thing_on_my_mind wrote: “The stamp really makes it legit”. “No stamp, would have thought it was fake”. User dressie wrote:”When I was little, my teacher at school has a reading incentive in place”. His mother then asked him to look up “forgery” in the dictionary, which made him feel “defeated”. “One more week for sure”, joked another user.
It was never questioned again and I received all of my free cinnamon buns and ice creams for reading exactly nothing.
