Tonight’s National Lottery Lotto draw – Saturday, February 28 – has a rollover jackpot of £6.5m. And the $100,000 extra prize was won by two tickets purchased in Edmonton and Alberta.
The drawing was the 13th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold. Still, how does a popular jackpot such as the huge Powerball jackpot jump from $800 million to $1.6 overnight-literally?
Florida Lottery officials said Sunday that 17 tickets matched five numbers to win $7,346 each.
This led to the predictions (and increased likelihood) of billion dollar jackpots.
If you missed it, the winning Lotto numbers for Wednesday, February 24 were 4, 14, 18, 19, 26 and 27.
If the prize isn’t claimed within a year of the draw date, the winnings go back into the pool for upcoming draws.
Pick 3 winners receive $500 for a $1 straight bet and the odds of winning are 1-in-1,000. As the California Powerball victor has yet to make their claim, many people have suggested that the Powerball victor has died.
Stay tuned as we’ll have the live Powerball drawing video along with the winning numbers as soon as the drawing takes place.
