Lumber Super Bowl ad so hot Fox made them change it

84 Lumber wasn’t the only Super Bowl ad with political undertones.

Whether or not these commercials accomplish what these companies hoped they would, it was incredibly touching to see so much ad time spent just on promoting inclusivity and acceptance. “So it’s up to you to do your part by making up for it with great hair”.

It made a decision to tackle the subject of illegal immigration, by depicting a Mexican mother and daughter making their trek northward to cross the border to the United States in search of a better life. The girl unfolds the scraps she’s collected, which turn out to be a hand-weaved American flag.

Then the mother sees that the wall has a door, recently built by a team of workers including one man who drives off in a pickup truck filled with, you guessed it, lumber.

While the ad didn’t have the ending 84 Lumber wanted, the message hasn’t changed, Shapiro said.

The spot attracted quite a bit of attention for a brand that wasn’t on too many viewers’ radar before the big game.

The website provided by the company appeared to be having some problems, but the full ad was also available on YouTube.

Politics collided forcefully with the Super Bowl this year.

“I think we’re all prepared for strong opinions from both sides of the aisle”, Brunner chief creative officer Rob Schapiro told Adweek. The order indefinitely banned refugees from Syria from entering the USA, it blocked refugees from any country from entering the US over the next 120 days, and it blocked citizens-refugee or otherwise-from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the US over the next 90 days.

It was 84 Lumber’s first Super Bowl commercial.

Others, however, attacked the company for its reportedly pro-Trump and pro-wall views, viewing the commercial not as a takedown of Trump’s policies, but rather an argument for legal immigration that works within Trump’s system.

“We do not condone illegal immigration“. But now, the company’s CEO is claiming the ad isn’t anit-immigration at all.

“For Maggie, it’s never been about the wall”. She hugs her young daughter before spotting an opening in the wall, a huge wooden door.

Water contamination has forced the relocation of students from Summit Township Elementary School.
