Constance Zimmer walked away with the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for her work on UnREAL. “The Big Short” picked up a few awards including Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor in a Comedy for Christian Bale.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” made a solid showing in the action division, winning for movie, actress Charlize Theron, actor Tom Hardy, director George Miller, production design, editing, hair and makeup and visual effects. Vikander also won a supporting actress award for “The Danish Girl“. “Fargo” was the big victor with four awards, including Best Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series and Best Movie Made for Television or Limited Series.

Schumer also scored the best actress in a comedy award for Trainwreck and collected the award wearing just one high-heeled sandal.

Christian Slater accepts the award for best supporting actor in a drama series for Mr Robot.

It’s award season in the world of Hollywood, and the red carpet was rolled out in Santa Monica, California, where the top critics awarded the top dogs in film and television at the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards. Jeffrey Tambor won actor for “Transparent“, while Rachel Bloom won actress for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”. The actor has already confirmed a sequel is underway although it’s uncertain whether Ryan Coogler, whom many credit with the movie’s success, will be back in the director’s seat.
