Mahindra showcases XUV Aero

Tractor and utility vehicle major Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) today unveiled a concept product XUV Aero, a coupe-styled vehicle, at the Auto Expo. We are particularly proud of the XUV Aero which represents a paradigm shift in our design philosophy.

Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “The Auto Expo is an important platform for the Mahindra Group given that we are displaying our comprehensive range of mobility solutions”. “SsangYong’s new Tivoli compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), which is a big success in its home market of Korea, is its first brand new product post-Mahindra’s acquisition”, Mahindra said.

Mahindra has not revealed any details on the specifications of the XUV Aero concept yet, but if in production, the model will share its underpinnings with the XUV along with the 2.2-litre diesel engine with 140bhp of power.

Meanwhile, German luxury vehicle maker Audi launched the new R8 V10 Plus, which will have an ex-showroom price (Mumbai and Delhi) of Rs2. “Our innovative GenZe 2.0 electric two wheeler, which made its U.S. debut in January, will also be showcased at the Auto Expo”. The concept version shown at the expo is quite similar to the sketch Mahindra released lately.

“We will continue to provide the best to our customers in India and will launch at least 10 new products in 2016”. Automatic transmission enables different modes like race, off-road, street and sport on the new XUV Aero.
