About 10:45 p.m. Saturday, a Mahomet police officer was involved in a shooting with a man identified as Dracy “Clint” Pendleton, 35. The man suspected in the shooting is Dracy “Clint” Pendleton, and he is reportedly armed and risky. Police say Pendleton pulled a handgun, shot the officer and ran into a house.

Officer Scharlow was hit in the arm and is already out of the hospital.

Police think Pendleton might have an AK-47.

Metzler told the newspaper that the officer, a 9-year veteran of his department, was shot after a traffic stop initiated by a different police officer.

Police in IL are hunting for a 34-year-old man who allegedly shot an officer during an argument before fleeing in a pickup truck.

The crash happened in Decatur, Illinois.

While that pickup truck was recovered, Pendleton remains on the loose – and authorities are searching for a two-door GMC 2500 pickup with “30070” painted on the doors. On Sunday, a Champaign County, Illinois, judge issued an arrest warrant for Pendleton.

According to police, Pendleton possibly stole a 2007 white GMC pick-up truck bearing IL registration number 165533B.

Kelley E. Wilson, a mother of two, later died in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Pendleton remains at large and blood was found by the police at Pendleton’s residence, indicating that he had been shot in the encounter. They believe he’s injured and “heavily armed and dangerous”.
