Manning’s Broncos to face Newton’s Panthers in Super Bowl

The Feb. 7 game at Santa Clara, California, will be the Broncos’ record-tying eighth Super Bowl, the Panthers’ second.

On Sunday, the two QBs with similar accolades but varying styles meet when the Panthers host the Cardinals in the NFC Championship game, with a berth in the Super Bowl at stake.

There was someone hemming and hawing about the Panthers and the Cardinals all week. And he all but willed the Panthers to a few impressive comeback victories, most notably at Seattle, of all places, in October. There was a stigma that he lacked the respect of his teammates.

“Everyone has worked their tail off to get us this far”, he added while the crowd chanted “M-V-P” behind him.
