Mark Zuckerberg Facebook CEO Pinterest, Twitter Accounts Hacked

June 11 23:00 2016

The group has claimed that the password leaked through a massive LinkedIn data breach in 2012 with more than 164 million users’ data stolen, The New York Daily news reported.

Facebook has appointed Umang Bedi as managing director India, where he will lead in building and maintaining strategic relationships with top clients and regional agencies in the country.

This hack is just the latest in a series of breaches and data dumps.

“There were over 700 million accounts compromised in the LinkedIn, Tumblr and Myspace breaches”, added John Shier, a senior security analyst with Sophos. On Tuesday, the NFL’s official Twitter account was hijacked by someone who falsely announced the death of commissioner Roger Goodell. The team also briefly commandeered Zuckerberg’s Pinterest account, which has just a few boards and pins. Also, ensure you’re not using the same password for different sites. “As a result, a number of Twitter accounts were identified for extra protection”.

Other hacked Twitter accounts were from Tenacious D, Bon Iver, Tame Impala, Keith Richards, and Katy Perry.

Twitter has now confirmed the hack is real but says that the breach didn’t come from them and suggests malware on users’ computers could be the cause.

The lesson here is definitely not to use the same simple password that you’ve been using for 10 years for everything. Hackers were trying to sell the information of millions of users online two weekends ago. Hackers routinely troll Facebook and Twitter for clues to passwords like these. They also told that the action will also be taken against the hackers.

Finally, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will hold his very first Facebook Live Q&A on June 14 at 11:30 AM PT. “People need to use this as a teachable moment to up their personal level of security and their verifications”.

This made it easy for OurMine and any other bored ne’er-do-wells to reverse Mark Zuckerberg’s password.

And remember, try not to use the same password for any two accounts.

Assuming the claims are correct, Zuckerberg not only reused the same password on multiple sites, but chose the weakest possible password for each site, which included six letters with no numbers or symbols.
