Martha Roby urges colleagues to strike “Obama’s Parting Gift to Planned Parenthood”

Most people support Planned Parenthood, its leader says, but many in Congress are not hearing them.

Planned Parenthood exaggerates their role in women’s healthcare. The protest for defunding Planned Parenthood would not mean that abortion is illegal; in fact, that was not what the protest was about at all. Despite President Trump’s declaration that he is pro-life, Magdylan is unsure whether Trump will ultimately decide to support their cause of defunding Planned Parenthood.

Abortions are offered by more than half of Planned Parenthood’s 650 odd clinics, but if you want your baby delivered, you’ll have to go somewhere else.

Its advocates will try to ramp up public pressure on lawmakers in the next week as Congress takes a weeklong break and members return to their home states. Planned Parenthood cares for about a third of them. In addition to direct clinical care, Title X also supports critical infrastructure needs for health centers, including new medical equipment and staff training that are not reimbursable under Medicaid and commercial insurance.

Now, in Live Action’s description of its investigative video, the organization said, “Planned Parenthood claims that it wants pregnant women to have ‘choices, ‘ but Live Action’s recent investigation shows that the abortion chain is focused on only one choice for pregnant women: abortion”.

The Burton Planned Parenthood provides HIV testing, pregnancy testing/ services, LGBT services, STD testing/treatment/vaccines, men’s health care (such as testicular and prostate cancer screening) and women’s health services (such as cervical cancer screening). The rule was finalized in mid-December and took effect two days before Trump was inaugurated on January 20. As a result, states would be unable to block funds from going to organizations simply because they provide abortions. In Texas, which has long tried to restrict abortion access, state officials gave preferential treatment to certain providers as well as reduced funding to family planning services. “Now it’s down to Congress and President Trump to fulfill their promise to defund Planned Parenthood, and do it now”.

On Feb. 13, NDSU Spectrum published an article entitled “Planned Parenthood: A Fight for Rights”.

“Planned Parenthood is a profit-driven, abortion-centered business that has performed more than 300,000 abortions in the last three years for which data are available.”, she said in a statement.

But Planned Parenthood had another whopper in store.

The Planned Parenthood physician took a look at her and told her “something tells me that today is not the day”.

We believe the lives and health of women are more important than the commitment to ideological purity that causes people to condemn all of Planned Parenthood’s many benefits to women because they disagree with abortion. We are just walking into a very big political trap if we go down this path of sticking Planned Parenthood in the health insurance bill. Title X can not succeed unless states and other Title X grantees include providers that are optimally qualified to furnish the range of Title X-funded services according to national standards of care.

If the foregoing arguments were not enough to make the case that FQHCs are more deserving of federal funding than Planned Parenthood, their well-documented history of corruption is enough to disqualify them from receiving taxpayers’ money.
