A YouGov survey showed May’s lead at a fresh low of 3 percentage points with the opposition Labour party polling 39 per cent against the Conservatives’ 42 per cent.
While British pollsters all predict May will win the most seats in Thursday’s election, they have given an array of different numbers for how big her win will be, ranging from a landslide victory to a much more slender win without a majority. That would give her more room and flexibility to handle her own backbenchers and deal with the EU.

However the findings contrast sharply with a ComRes poll for the Independent and Sunday Mirror which still shows the Conservatives with a healthy 12 point advantage.
In a sign of where the Tories intend to go in the final week of the campaign, she was eager to get in her attacks on Labour’s fiscal plans. “Even with Brexit, maybe some good can come out of all of this”.
