The Tar Heels (31-7) are making their 20th Final Four appearance and seeking their sixth national championship.

The Tar Heels are the plus-130 favorite to win the title and favored by 4½ to 5 points over OR in Saturday’s nightcap.

He’s averaging 12.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season.

Twice, North Carolina missed two free throws in the final 10 seconds only to have the Tar Heels gain control off the offensive rebound, never giving OR a shot at a game-winning possession.

In a closely contested matchup between two experienced teams, I give the slight edge to the Tar Heels.

For long stretches during the regular season, OR looked like a team that could not only reach the Final Four, but win it all.

On paper, the Gamecocks will not be able to handle Gonzaga’s incredible size inside.
