Microsoft ‘s Xbox Store ‘Countdown’ Sale Begins Tuesday

December 25 08:25 2015

It doesn’t end there, the Redmond-based firms plan to have several more offers for its users from December 29th to January 7th as new year promotion. The sale lasts seventeen days, and features both weekly and daily sales.

If you happen to be an Xbox Live Gold member, you’ll get an additional 10 percent off any game included in the sale. Membership costs $60 for 12 months or $25 for three. There are piles and piles of deals that are taking games down by 30 and 40 percent across all genres.

Technology giant Microsoft has announced countdown to what the company is claiming to be its “biggest” Xbox sale ever.

Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb will be posting the daily deals over on his Twitter account. Need some new digital goodies for your Xbox One? A $24 price is not bad, but this is another title is likely headed to EA Access soon.

For this week only, Halo 5: Guardians, Rare Replay and Rise of the Tomb Raider are all discounted.

An Xbox Store sale may not come as a surprise for some gamers given the fact that Microsoft has been busy all year, slashing the prices of its games, giving away free titles, and release Xbox console bundles. Meanwhile, Portal: Still Alive and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga are slashed down to similar levels.

Honestly, if you own an Xbox One, you should not hesitate to cash in on the sale and stock up, perhaps the year’s bestsellers, all in one go.

The first week of the sale will run from today until December 28th with a range of daily deals to snag too.

The video below shows a preview of the sale, but it doesn’t have any particular prices or games listed as yet.
