Microsoft Surface Phone will be the ‘ultimate mobile device’: Satya Nadella

In terms of the latest Surface Phone news there are reports from Commercial Times of Taiwan that ODM Pegatron is already running production trials of this device. Other features include Quick Charge 4.0 support and an estimated 5.5-inch QHD (quad high definition) screen. Also, the smartphone is reportedly compatible with laptop accessories such as a Surface Pro like keyboard and a stylus.

One of the more interesting rumors making the rounds about a future Surface phone is that Microsoft is likely to use an Intel processor to re-create a Wintel force that traditional Wintel OEM’s can get behind for solutions from PCs through to smartphones on a single architecture.

The Microsoft smartphone that is increasingly being relied on to resurrect that of the company’s struggling section is now getting more and more evident as its specifications are thrown into the spotlight. There has also been news saying that the Surface Phone could come in three variants which mean that there could also be a 4 GB RAM model.

Windows phones are alive once again as the crowdsourced mobile phone called Moly X1 that runs Windows 10 mobile operating system is shaping up to be the next business-centric phone in 2017. Aside from the reported upgrade on its display, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has two important features that will surely make user experience greater.

Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke about the company’s work on “the ultimate mobile device“, in a reference that made it clear that Microsoft doesn’t want to compete with smartphone market leaders Apple and the Android ecosystem head on with consumer-focused devices. Now, the Microsoft is trying its own hands at building hardware after the success of its Surface lineup of devices.

That could hint at a possible release window for the Surface Phone.
