Moonves could push “Supergirl” to The CW, which as it happens is a joint venture between CBS and Warners (Moonves and his team are responsible for programming the network). Would you like to see Supergirl remain on CBS or would a move to The CW be a better decision? Says He “Could Do One More” Iron Man Movie! In a new report, The Wrap reports that CBS head honcho Leslie Moonves is pondering the idea of shifting Supergirl from CBS to The CW next fall for its sophomore season.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but we are waiting to see what the fate of Supergirl will be! The roughly $3 million per-episode price tag CBS pays to broadcast “Supergirl” – one of the highest license fees ever for a freshman show – isn’t quite justified by the ratings. Should Supergirl move to The CW for season 2? As Cinemablend points out, CBS and Warner Bros. are reported to still be in the process of negotiating about the fate of the series. Television about whether or not to renew the pricey comic book adaptation.

A move to The CW would allow the writers to incorporate Supergirl characters into the rest of the DC TV universe through new crossovers with Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

The most logical solvent for the situation is a move to The CW, where the DC universe has an impressive stronghold that, on almost every level imaginable, outshines the DC cinematic universe.

Supergirl has plenty of fans, but after the show racked up 13 million viewers for the series premiere last October, about half of those viewers has dropped throughout the rest of the season.

The current stare-down between network and studio can’t last long, since CBS is scheduled to announce next season’s lineup of shows in two weeks, during the upfronts presentations in NY. The upshot of a CW shift is that there would very likely be big budget cuts in the offing for “Supergirl“.

Stay tuned for when, where and if Supergirl will land for season 2.
