‘Mr. Robot’ Renewed for Season 3

August 18 23:00 2016

USA Network’s highly-acclaimed series, “Mr. Robot”, has been officially renewed for Season 3. The series is now rounding the seventh entry of its 12-episode second season, still feeling the tumultuous aftereffects of Season 1’s culminating “5/9” hack of mega-conglomerate E Corp. The show has been nominated for six Emmy Awards and has quickly become USA’s most talked about original show now airing and, arguably, of all time.

NBC Universal Cable entertainment president Chris McCumber said in a statement.

Season 2 of Mr. Robot continues tonight at 10:00pm ET on USA.

Creator and showrunner Sam Esmail, who took up the tall task of directing every single episode of the second season, spoke with Alan Sepinwall at HitFix yesterday to break down the episode’s big revelation.

In the seventh episode of season 2 titled, eps2.5_h4ndshake.sme, Dom discovers that Angela’s history is dubious. This year, “Mr. Robot” has already won a Peabody Award, three Critics’ Choice Awards, a Writers Guild of America Award, and two Golden Globes, one of which is for Best Television Series – Drama. “Sam and company just keep taking it to another level”.

In the middle of airing its second season, “Mr. Robot” received an early renewal for Season 3, Deadline has learned. The cast includes Rami Malek, Portia Doubleday, Christian Slater, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallstrom, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer, and Stephanie Corneliussen.

The eighth episode of season 2 titled, eps2.6_succ3ss0r.p12, promises to have high-voltage drama and to be very exciting, especially after the revelation that Elliot was in prison this whole time!

We will find out what really happened to Elliot in prison; Esmail says “That’s going to get revealed in a couple of episodes”. The third installment is scheduled to air in 2017, AceShowbiz reports.
