It also reportedly coughed up $300 million to hire Ryan Murphy, the power producer behind “Glee”.
On the movie side, Netflix has released more than 30 films theatrically, and more are to come, Sarandos said. What is known right now is that NFLX is on a roll and that looks to be continuing through this year.
Wall Street expected Netflix to add 6.5 million new subscribers, according to FactSet data.
