That made the seven-year-old believe that Santa may not visit her house, as the rules say that by touching the elf, you smoke the Christmas magic away. Isabella went to make the 911 call, but was flustered when she had the conversation with the 911 operator.
Surely, you’ve heard of the Elf on the Shelf – the little guy (or girl) who stays with families for the month of December each year and reports back to Santa on how well-behaved the children in the house have been.
That’s when Isabelle’s mother, Lynanne LaPeruta, woke up from a nap to find the police at her door. She told the operator to “not come to her house”.
Isabelle said she didn’t tell her mom because she didn’t want to get in trouble, according WBNC.
Lt. Joseph Mandola said the responding officer wanted to reassure her. Mandola just bent down to calm her down and assure her that everything was OK. After an officer was gifted with the chance to say “Isabella apologized”.
The Elf on the Shelf comes in a keepsake box that features a hardbound picture book and a small soft toy in the form of a pixie scout elf. “She won’t call 911 again.” over the radio, the perilous Elf incident came to a close.
Finally, the 911 call made things right, not wrong.
