New MacBook Pro OLED panel dubbed “Magic Toolbar?”

October 24 02:36 2016

This is a big deal because the actual MacBook Pro design hasn’t been changed since 2012, when Apple rolled models with Retina displays.

Probably, Apple will come up with more examples of this kind at the 27 October media event.

Now – six months after Apple silently announced refreshed versions of its 12-inch MacBook, via press release – there’s great interest in the next version of the MacBook Pro, which is expected to be launched on October 27 during an event at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Also on the list of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is its TouchID feature that is now common for their other Apple devices.

If you’ve been in the market for a new Mac, you certainly won’t want to miss next week’s event.

If rumors and reports are true, then one of the most anticipated features of the MacBook Pro 2016 is the OLED display panel which can be found above the keyboard. This new feature will allow a quick access to popular commands that are mostly used by users. Martin Hajek is a designer who offered several illustrative examples and images showcasing the interesting ways in which users can operate this feature.

For users, it would mean prompt interchange of language input, emojis, or app shortcuts, all while the typing process is on. Although many people already know that the event will most likely occur, this time it’s truly official. Imagine, for example, selecting a block of text and with the tap of a button instantly formatting it to your liking without having to go sifting through a maze of menus.

“I love the Mac and we are very committed to it. Stay tuned”, he wrote in the message, which was obtained by MacRumors. These will come into better use with consumers using OS Sierra and Apple Pay. In particular, the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro should be thinner and lighter. Yet WSJ tech columnist Joanna Stern may also have an insider source about the event following her tweet that she might be using her MacBook Air for the last time.

Heavier, bulkier and less powerful than the latest MacBook, its brushed silver look seems dated when considering Apple’s tendency to stray towards darker greys and brighter golds. Several previous reports have already suggested that the change in date for the earnings call is due to Apple’s plans to hold another event on October 27, where it will launch the company’s most recent products including the MacBook Pro 2016.

Of course, none of this has been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait until Thursday to see exactly what Apple has up it’s sleeve.

This follows a leak from USA retailer Best Buy reported by TechnoBuffalo, which listed a new 27 inch iMac with Retina 5K display and one of Intel’s new super-powerful Kaby Lake processors. On the graphics front, don’t be surprised to see a GPU which takes advantage of AMD’s Polaris architecture.

Two sizes of MacBook Pro are as of now accessible: a 13in model and a 15in model.
