At BlizzCon 2016, Blizzard finally announced the latest character to grace its hero-themed shooter, Overwatch.
Blizzard has at last officially announced Sombra as a new character in Overwatch, as well as a Diablo remake for Diablo III. This is a fully automatic gun which fires at a short range spread. Sombra also has the “Hack” ability which she can use on enemies to halt them from using their special abilities. She has the ability to become invisible for a short timeframe. This camouflage is disabled only if she attacks, uses an offensive ability or receives damage.
She can also throw out a Translocator beacon that can allow her to instantly return to the beacon’s location at any time while it’s active.
EMP is Sombra’s ultimate ability and it is a more powerful Hack that affects all enemies within a wide radius.
The studio made the announcement during the BlizzCon opening ceremonies on Friday after leaks earlier this week exposed the design for the character.
As fans have always rumored and speculated, the fourth game in the series, though it sounds nearly impossible, might be revealed in the upcoming BlizzCon 2016. In that pic you could find a odd logo, and it seems it was Sombra’s logo.
One of world’s most famous hackers, Sombra is affiliated with the Mexican gang Los Muertos.
We’ll see more of the Hispanic infiltrator in due time, but for now, we have to wait a little bit longer to get our hands on her.
Sombra is classified as a notorious hacker that uses her skills to manipulate those in power.
She later reemerged as Sombra, upgraded and determined to find out the truth behind the conspiracy she had uncovered.
Sombra will be added to the PTR as soon as next week. The new mode will be an Arcade Mode, which includes 1v1 and 3v3 play, and will feature “a variety of regularly rotating alternate game modes”. No Limits will effectively be taking the original rules from Quickplay, since Blizzard will be making major modifications to Quickplay which will prevent duplicate heroes, much like in Competitive Mode.
