Newton wants black QB issue put away for good

He didn’t need to point out that several other black quarterbacks have gone to the big game, including Seattle’s Russell Wilson the past two years.

Scot Sieczko’s mother Trae Sieczko wrote a letter to the Panthers saying he was a “HUGE Cam Newton fan since his days playing at Auburn and was a Panthers fan for that same reason”. They see a guy who went a different route than just going to a major Division I school and flourishing there. That is the kind of guy you want to help get a ring on his finger.

Newton reminded that he’s living out a childhood dream being in the Super Bowl.

“I don’t think this team needs any extra motivation, ” he said. I know I wasn’t a big fan of his when he first came out of college, but I think he has matured and that people are just jealous of his skill. I think everyone has been giving him a hard time because they don’t like seeing him so successful.

“He’s by far the most risky offensive player in the league because he can now run with the football”.
