Nokia to make a comeback with revamped 3310 model

February 16 07:55 2017

The new version of 3310 is promised to cross the threshold of modern mobile phones. This puts it firmly in feature phone territory.

Following the positive reaction to the Nokia 6 and its launch and subsequent retail sell-out in China, thoughts turned to the devices that would be released into Nokia’s former strongholds, including Europe. The Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU on the inside to power the device’s computing needs, while an Adreno 505 GPU handles the graphics.

After ruling the roost for most of the early 2000s, Nokia struggled to keep pace during the smartphone era, eventually being sold to Microsoft. Previous year the right to produce Nokia branded phones was sold again to another company called “HMD Global”, which is made up of former Nokia employees.

The technical specifications of 3310 are still under the cover and it would be priced at €59. The Nokia 3, meanwhile, will cost only €149, or about $158, but the specs and features of the entry-level smartphone are still unknown.

We have a good news for all the hard core Nokia fans out there. The Nokia 3310 gained its reputation for being extremely durable, while also delivering long battery life.

Nokia’s virtually indestructible and iconic handset, the 3310, is reportedly making a comeback later this month.

The classic Nokia 3310 which was first released back in 2000.

No need to worry, the new Nokia 3310 will not burn a hole in your pocket. Now before you raise your hopes and head on to buy this device, we should warn you that neither Nokia nor HMD Global has gone official about Nokia 6 in India. Nonetheless, the four devices that are going to be showcased during MWC are Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 3310 and Nokia 6 which is already out in China.
