In McLennan County, 4,376 people voted in person on Monday. Whatever the reason, Benton and Washington counties are seeing heavy early voter turnout. Collin almost doubled its total four years ago. Of the absentee ballots cast, 657 have been cast by Republicans and 416 have been cast by Democrats.
More than 10,000 votes were cast in El Paso County, compared with 8,243 votes in 2012. You may vote absentee in person up until 5:00 p.m. on the day before the election.
After the last ballots had been cast on Monday at 8 p.m., 1,818 votes were counted at City Hall, including 16 provisional ballots. Voting hours in St. Mary Parish are from 8:30 a.m.to 6 p.m. “They want to gripe about who gets in office but they don’t want to take time to vote“, Horn said. “Even if they are unsure of who to vote for, they should still go vote because our government is set up so that we have a voice”.

Early voters in Tarrant County are using the Hart InterCivic eSlate machines, the same machines that have been in use for more than a decade here.

Here in Walker County more people are turning out for early voting than in previous years.

While this year’s election includes a heavily contested Presidential race between Democratic Party candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican Party candidate Donald J. Trump, there are no locally contested races on the ballot for Dawson County.
“Not this time of day”, said voter Patrick Carson, when asked if he was expecting long lines. We ought to all be working to try to improve that.
