[ November 9, 2016 ] Veterans Day Assembly at Appleton City High School

The morning opened with a slideshow presentation of photos of students’ family members who are veterans. Immediately following the program, CES is inviting all veterans to a lunch reception in the CES cafeteria.

Members of McConnelsville’s American Legion Post No. 24 Malconta Chapter’s Honor Guard, honor local veterans all year long, including, of course, on Veterans Day, this Friday, Nov. 11.

November 11 – Bloom-Vernon (South Webster) School District, will be hosting a Veterans Day assembly in the high school gymnasium, 10529 Main Street in South Webster, at 10 a.m.

More than 100 veterans, active military personnel and their spouses are expected to attend the “Breakfast for Veterans”, and those that missed the original reservation deadline can still come, says organizer Clark “Buddy” Zimmerman.

Official national ceremonies for Veterans Day take place at Arlington National Cemetery, our country’s most historic military cemetery.

The Dutton/Brady students will recognize veterans during a program on Thursday at 10 a.m.in the school auditorium.

An all-school celebration will be hosted at 9 a.m. for veterans with student performances.

The first assembly will be from approximately 12:40 to 1:30 p.m., and then the second from about 1:40 to 2:30 p.m. The meal is provided by the Hampton High School Future Business Leaders of America. Students will read original writings and present a special project to honor veterans.

The Portal Pride Band and Portal Elementary School Chorus will perform at the dedication.
