NYC Weather Forecast: A Little Snow, a Lot of Rain This Week
Highs will be from 20 to 25 degrees. Tuesday will have a dry start to the day, but as we get into Tuesday afternoon and night, we will be watching our next storm system as it moves up the East Coast.
A second, “more significant” storm system will then approach from the southwest, the NWS said – bringing what is expected to be a heavier downpour Wednesday evening.
Tonight we can expect rain showers and possibly a thunderstorm with a low around 51. Minor snow accumulations are possible for Thursday, yet no major accumulations are expected at this time. The new rainfall total will be between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. There is a disturbance that may clip far northeast Kansas Wednesday night with a wintry mix but better chances will stay northeast in Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Highs today will reach the upper 50s to lower 60s with increasing clouds and a breezy easterly wind. Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 36.
Another lovely weekend is expected and while it may not be quite as warm as this past weekend (no 70s), highs will be in the 50s with some indications of a few spots getting into the 60s on Saturday.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44.
