Obama Goes for Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld

The show normally focuses on, well, comedians, but Seinfeld says that the President “has gotten off just enough amusing lines to qualify for getting on this show”.

Finally, Obama gets behind the wheel of the sexy blue Corvette and confirms he’s fulfilling “A childhood dream”.

“Part of what happens is these guys, I think, the longer they stay in office, the more likely that is to happen”. Obama says being able to call a nuclear submarine from the auto is a cool feature, plus it has seat warmers.

Seinfeld replies: ‘Are you making speeches again, ‘ as the two ride around the White House South Lawn together in the show, filmed on December 7.

Obama: “That’s one of those where I have to have it taken away”. “So you’re looking around and thinking, what the hell is this?” the president jokes.

“Jerry jokingly suggested that we should invite the President to be on the show”.

“It’s a Caddy, basically on a tank frame”, he says. A lot of attrition.

Once they actually grab coffee in the White House, Seinfeld asks Obama how many world leaders he thinks are “completely out of their mind”. There, they talked about the price of fame (Obama is whimsical about his days in anonymity; Seinfeld swears life is better when you’re famous), Obama’s wardrobe options, morning routines and his love of nachos.

Although the president of the United States is not your everyday TV comedian, the video above proves he has got a great sense of humor.

Obama’s appearance on the popular show is a departure for Seinfeld, who usually sticks to chatting with comedians like Louis C.K., Amy Schumer and Stephen Colbert.

Obama told Seinfeld: “I do really well with the zero-to-eight demographic”.

Perhaps most surprising, though, is Obama’s admission that spewing curse words at the bad, sad things he’s forced to deal with every day helps him keep his sanity in the White House.

Seinfeld chose a silver blue 1963 Corvette Stingray for the ride with Obama
